Plantation Drive

Every year, the Uppal Southend RWA organizes plantation drives in which the residents of all age group enthusiastically participate. Over the period, the colony has become green with lush plantation. RWA is thankful to the Department of Horticulture for providing saplings of various varieties of plants.

The two neglected green belt areas have also been developed and fresh saplings were planted by the residents of the colony

The State Bank of India joined hands with RWA and planted a number of saplings in the Netaji Subhash Chandra Park of the colony. Manure for the plants are produced within the colony by composting kitchen wastes of the colony’s house-hold.

To help birds during scorching summer months, a number of ghosle with water and seeds have been put up on the trees.
