The RWA, in association with major hospitals, private medical practitioners and the District Health Authorities conducted a number of medical camps in the colony.
RWA has signed an agreement with the Global Health Limited for providing top class medical care to its residents at the Medanta hospital – Gurugram at concessional rates. Medanta has also set up an e-Clinic nursing station to provide basic health care and to handle medical emergency
The Medanta e-Clinic in Uppal Southend was inaugurated on 12th December 2020. In the absence of a Primary Health Care Centre in the vicinity, it was indeed a boon to the residents of this vast colony of over 900 dwelling units spread across 111 acres of land.
The e-Clinic was formally inaugurated jointly by Dr. Naresh Trehan, Director – Medanta, Mr. Rakesh Daulatabad, MLA-Badshahpur and Adv. Rajesh Khatana, President, Uppal Southend RWA, at a time when the COVID 19 pandemic had already started taking its toll on the local population. The ed-Clinic, which was housed on the first floor of Nagrik Bhawan has now been shifted to RWA premises, for the convenience of the residents, particularly for aged persons and patients and to those who have difficulty in climbing the stairs
The expert medical/para medical team provides top class nursing services including Vitals monitoring, ECG, Glucose monitoring, First Aid, Specialist OPD, Ayurveda OPD etc. to name a few to the residents of this colony. Several special talks, webinars, video conferences etc. on health issues were also organized by the team Medanta for the exclusive benefit of the residents. More recently, the team also joined hands with Uppal Southend RWA in observing the International Yoga Day.
Team Medanta also organized several Vaccination camps in the colony during the COVID 19 pandemic, which the residents have greatly appreciated.
